Mobile car remapping is the process of reconfiguring the engine management software that controls how your car runs. This can be done through the onboard diagnostics (OBD) port or directly accessing the engine control unit (ECU).

Mobile car remapping can be used to improve performance, economy or both. It involves your vehicle being live data logged, a diagnostics session is performed, and your ECU is then read and uploaded to the Mapro Tuning portal, where we will modify your software and send back the file to the mobile technician on site; we will then flash the ECU and datalog it again.
Please note although all vehicles are listed we reserve the right to decline tuning certain models , for example we do not tune the early VAG 1.8T, Subarus or Evos - please contact us to confirm.
Our dedicated mobile vehicle
Our chosen vehicle for the mobile service is our Mapro T5, this van is fitted with onboard Pure Sine inverters inside, we also have Anderson points built into the front of the vehicle and an internal 5G Wi-Fi router with ethernet, if you are in a very rural area we may occasionally ask to use your WI-FI.
Our technicians will always be wearing company clothing so can easily be identified.
Is mobile tuning right for me?
A common question we get asked here daily is " is mobile tuning the same as dyno tuning?"
The answer is no there is no way it can ever be the same ! the idea of mobile tuning is convenience for the customer, we still do the same process during a mobile tuning appointment - Pre checks, Datalogging ( location permitting ) post checks but you will not get a print out, mobile tuning is designed for those customers who want solid tuning done that's not pushing the car as hard as on a dyno.
Is a mobile Tune " Generic"? - to a degree all mobile tuning will start with a generic base map, post flash changes that are carried out will be done based on data logging sent back to HQ from the mobile Mapro technician, we will make changes using WinOLS and send the file back to the technician to reflash.
